Full Time Assisted Living Director
We are currently seeking an Assisted Living Director (ALD) responsible for the leadership, management and success of the Assisted Living department. We’re looking for RNs who have a passion for ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents are delivered everyday; who believe in creating a strong team of caregivers through hiring, training and developing the best talent and who enjoy working in a collaborative and friendly environment.

Major responsibilities include:
• Working in a complex, collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Ensuring the highest quality of care for Chateau residents through complete resident assessments; the facilitation of resident care conferences; and completion of Negotiated Service Agreements
• Leadership and oversight of the Assisted Living Department including care team scheduling, ongoing caregiver training, coaching, motivating and performance management of team; building enthusiasm for residents and the quality of their care
• Ensuring Chateau’s philosophy, customer service principles, and policies and procedures are adhered to and followed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Current RN license
• At least two years experience in long term care with an understanding and knowledge of issues related to aging
• Leadership, management and budgetary experience
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with good organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Completion of Fundamentals, Mental Health, Dementia, Valid CPR
Reports to Executive Director with oversight by Quality Care Team
Salaried/Supervisory/Exempt
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
• Ensure continuity of resident care through management of the resident assessment process including computer-based-assessment program, scheduled and change of condition, resident assessments, care plans, ADL flow sheets, behavior plans and all other associated paperwork completed including resident/responsible party signature as applicable
• Respect privacy, dignity and confidentiality regarding all residents and their care by following HIPAA guidelines
• Ensure quality of work by adhering and meeting all Boarding Home regulations
• Interact regularly with doctors and health care professionals to ensure residents’ care needs are met
• Oversee the medication assistance and medication delegation programs to ensure residents on medication assistance receive their medications as ordered by their physician
• Recruit, hire, supervise and coach all care giving staff; develop and conduct monthly staff meetings/in-services to meet performance requirements of direct reports, CE and other required training
• On-call for departmental issues, medical issues and emergencies
• Responsible for department budget including budgeting guidelines; scheduling, staffing hours and supplies; oversee monthly billing process and ensure appropriate revenue capture
• Ensure all incident reports and other necessary documentation are properly completed
• Participate in any events, groups or activities that promote Chateau Retirement Communities, Chateau Bothell Landing or the Assisted Living Department
• Perform caregiver duties as needed
• Ensure all Chateau policies, procedures and systems are implemented and followed
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager
